This is a digital image created by a friend and myself. The image was later painted, with the help of Locals, as a mural that resides in Nipomo, California on Tefft STreet. The title for this peice was based on the meaning of the towns name, "Nipomo," meaning, "At the Foot of the Hills." My friend came up to me and told me about an art compotition coming up. It was to create an image that will be painted by people of Nipomo during a local festival as a mural. My friend, a photographer and life long local of Nipomo, took photographs of Nipomo and I helped place the images in a college. We helped at the festival showing people how to paint and where. Each person bought a square. It was kind of a paint by number but was lots of fun for every body. This was one of the first events sponcered by the Nipomo Arts Commission.
